Hip Hop Mixtapes CDs
If I say Hip Hop Mixtapes Cds the first
thing that should come to your head is Underground Hip Hop.
Why? You know why!
That is where the real straight up Hip Hop is right now. It’s
not on the radio with Nelly and Tim McGraw. What the hell was
that about anyway?
Underground Hip Hop is like catching a
basketball player dunk at the Rucker in New York. You know he
has MADD skillz and should be signed but somebody looked past
him. Either that or you hear a hip hop mixtape with major label
rappers rockin’ fo’ real. I’m not talkin’ about that commercial
Billboard garbage. You know what I
mean if you ever heard Killa Cam’ or JadaKiss on an
Alchemist beat.
You will never hear that type of flow on the
radio at V-103 or Hott 97.5 in Atlanta. If you are a true…true
Hip Hop fan you have at least 25 hip hop mixtapes at the crib
and one of them has to have DJ Kay Slay, Fat Joe, 50 Cent or
Capone on it. Hold up…you gotta have Mobb Deep or Bun B
too.
Seriously Fam! You haven’t heard Hip Hop Rap
music on a street level until you hear these boys rip a whole
in a Kanye West or Jus’ Blaze and Hi tek track. Even if you pay
attention to the unsigned hype page in The Source Magazine
and go cop a mixtape of them cats you will be
amazed.
They didn’t make it in that Source issue for
telling nursery rhymes. If you remember, Biggie Smalls…yeah
Notorious B.I.G. was in the unsigned hype column once and so
was Shyne. Need I say more? Besides that a good Mixtape CD cost $5.00 to $6.00.
The Cd's have anywhere from 15 to 40
tracks of straight heat. Anything goes when it comes to
Underground Hip Hop. I remember when I heard Lil’ Flip on
a Rakim beat…What? He laid it down like he was suppose
too. I from Texas and I don’t listen to that much Mid-West
or South -West music but I tellin’ you he killed it.
Don’t just think that Underground music is for
Hip Hop either. R&B cats
shine on some of these Hip Hop Mixtapes CD's too. It’s
one thing for me to tell you but you really have to listen
for yourself. If you are from New York this is nothin’ new
to you.
I visited the NYC for one weekend and I heard
more hits on a radio mix section than I heard in Atlanta for an
entire month. I know what you are saying…yeah right. If you
ever get a chance to go to New York make sure you have a CD
Walkman or go buy a satellite radio and peep Angie Martinez
from 3pm-7pm. Now that’s what’s up. Peace.
